Terms of Service

Eligibility

• You must be 18 or older.
• The information you provide must be accurate and up to date.
• One account per person. A single account can combine several roles.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and backup codes secure.

Your content

You remain the owner of the photos, videos, audio and text you publish.

You grant Castalio a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence solely to host, display, technically adapt (formats, sizes) and present your content on Castalio, including discovery pages and promotion of the platform. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, subject to technical deletion delays and legal obligations.

You must hold the rights or permissions needed for every piece of media you publish, including the consent of the people shown, and credit known collaborators.

We never sell or assign your content to third parties, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.

Prohibited behaviour

• Publishing content that breaks our Content Policy.
• Harassing, threatening, discriminating against or intimidating a member.
• Impersonating someone or creating a fake profile.
• Scamming, soliciting sexual services or diverting payments.
• Publishing other people's photos without the right to do so.
• Circumventing security, verification or your plan's limits.
• Sending unsolicited bulk messages.

Consequences and appeals

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, hide content, require a correction, suspend the account for a set period or ban it. Every decision is sent to you with its reason, its duration and how to appeal. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the person who made the decision.

Content involving minors leads to a permanent ban, without appeal, and a report to the authorities.

Subscriptions and payments

• The price, first charge date, billing frequency and how to cancel are shown on the very screen where you subscribe. No box is pre-checked.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled.
• You can cancel yourself, in no more steps than it took to subscribe.
• European Union residents have a 14-day right of withdrawal.
• Refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
• Any change to plans or prices is announced in advance.

Castalio's role

Castalio is a platform that connects people. We are not a party to agreements between members, we do not act as an agency, and we do not guarantee that a collaboration will happen, go well or be paid.

Image releases signed on the platform bind only the members who sign them.

Limitation of liability and indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, Castalio is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the platform or from meetings between members. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law of your place of residence gives you as a consumer.

You agree to indemnify Castalio against third-party claims arising from content you publish or from your breach of these terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [juridiction à déterminer après l'immatriculation de l'entreprise], without depriving you of the mandatory protections of your place of residence. If a dispute arises, write to us first at [email protected]: we seek an amicable solution before any legal action. No clause forces you into arbitration or prevents you from joining a class action.

For Quebec residents, the French version of these terms is presented to you first and prevails over any translation.

Changes

We keep a record of the version of the terms you accepted. If we make a significant change, we notify you in advance and ask you to accept the new version.
